  What is the "Activator"?

The Activator is unique type of manipulation using a hand-held mechanical device to deliver a high velocity, but very low force, "mechanical impulse" into the spine or joints. Many doctors utilize Activator for those patients too young or simply too fragile to be adjusted by traditional means. Other patients simply respond better to this adjustive technique and system of analysis.

The Activator instrument delivers a very high velocity mechanical impulse into the spine, so quick that the muscles usually cannot resist, allowing for an effective correction of the "subluxation" without the physical stress some patients experience with traditional adjusting methods. However, it should be noted that even traditional spinal adjusting techniques should not be painful. If you experience pain with each adjustment, time to find a new Chiropractor!

What are the most common conditions treated with Activator?

Generally, any patient can benefit by this instrument, however conditions related to arthritis, osteoporosis or other bone and joint degenerative conditions are even more appropriate.
