The most common musculoskeletal injury in the work force remains lower back sprain/strain, neck sprain/strain, and thoracic sprain/strain, and extremity injury. The literature clearly suggests that spinal manipulation is the treatment of choice for low back injury. Numerous studies demonstrate that spinal manipulation can return a patient to work in half the time, with half the cost, and with half the disability compared to other forms of treatment. Recent studies suggest that patients prefer non-drug forms of therapy.

For more difficult low back cases (herniated and bulging discs, arthritis, and non-responsive mechanical low back pain), our office is one of the only clinics in Columbus to offer Lumbar Decompression Therapy (LDT) featuring the DRS 9000 system (similar to VAX-D). If you want to avoid surgery, or are simply sick of chronic low back pain, call our office for more details.

Treatments are safe, gentle, and effective. Diagnosis and treatments may include the following:

• Consultation and examination
• X-ray
• Computer analysis using the patented "Pro-Adjuster"
• Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (available through Medtherm of Columbus).
• Spinal manipulation/adjustments using the Gonstead technique, Diversified, Activator, Cox    flexion-distraction, Thompson drop table, Pro-Adjuster.
• Therapeutic modalities: ice, heat, electric stimulation, light therapy, mechanical traction, etc.
• Lumbar Decompression Therapy using the DRS 9000 system (like VAX-D)
• Rehabilitation using Nautilus equipment, therabands, exercise balls, wobble boards, etc.
• Massage therapy, trigger point therapy.
