Headaches are prevalent in our society, and often associated with stress, diet, environment factors such as toxic fumes, hormonal changes, and numerous other conditions. One of the most overlooked, yet treatable forms of headaches are referred to as "tension" headaches. Even migraine headaches are usually treatable.

Your spine is composed of 24 movable vertebra separated by 23 discs which function to protect the delicate nervous system. If the bones of the spine are injured, due to either major trauma (whiplash) or minor trauma (bad posture over a long period of time), they can become stuck or tight. Tight neck joints often irritate spinal nerves, which travel to your head causing tension and migraine headache.

You often hear this tightness referred to as "misalignment" or "bones out of place". However, when you feel "out", you are really just tight. Chiropractic spinal adjustments loosen those stiff and tight joints. If your headaches are accompanied by upper neck pain, you have a really good chance of being helped with Chiropractic adjustments.

If you are tired taking drugs for frequent headaches, call our office today. While some patients require a multidisciplinary approach (including drugs) to headache management, spinal adjustments can often drastically reduce or even eliminate your headaches, allowing you to again live a normal, healthy, and productive life.
