Numerous forms of adjustment techniques are utilized in the Farabaugh Chiropractic Office. Our doctors are totally flexible and skilled in the types of adjustments required by different patients. Some require very low force and some require more aggressive spinal adjustments. In addition we now utilize the very latest in medical technology, "Lumbar Decompression Therapy" (LDT) for patients resistant to other forms of chiropractic or medical treatment. If you are contemplating surgery, call our office immediately and speak to one of our doctors about LDT.

What causes LBP? Normally LBP is caused by one of three things: major trauma (ex. car accident or work injury), minor trauma (poor lifting techniques/posture over a long period of time), or stress. Although stress won't cause your problem, it can often make a weakened area worse. Specifically, your low back pain can be related to spinal subluxation, muscles, joints, ligaments, disc, fibromyalgia, arthritis, spondylolisthesis, or other organic causes of disease (ex. kidney stones, bladder infection, female disorders, etc.). Your Chiropractic Physician will perform a detailed examination to determine the cause of you pain, and recommend a treatment program specifically designed to correct your problem. If a referral to another type physician is necessary, we will facilitate that as well.

Did you know that research dating back several decades have suggested repeatedly that Chiropractic spinal manipulation is effective for both acute and chronic pain, including disc injury and whiplash? The studies suggest that chiropractic can return a patient to work in half the time, with half the cost, and half the disability, compared to drugs, surgery, and physical therapy. Please visit the research section of this website for more information.
